Dear All,
We are currently working on upgrading two IFS Managed Cloud customers, one running on IFS 9 and the second one on IFS 10, to the IFS Cloud version. As you are aware, the upgrade needs to be performed on an interim environment. Once the upgrade is completed, we have to return the database to IFS Managed Cloud so they can import it into the new production environment (IFS Cloud) in IFS Managed Cloud.
What we have experienced is that exporting from the source database (either through RMAN level 0 backup or Oracle Data Pump export) takes nearly a day or more, making it difficult to plan the go-live cutover. Therefore, with this post, I would like to inquire if anyone else has encountered a similar situation and if there are any tips and tricks to reduce the export time from the source database (hosted at IFS Managed Cloud). Any information on this topic would be highly appreciated.
Kind Regards
Amila
