We are adding a shortcut for our users to open IFS on their desktops. The problem is, we are getting a blank tab in the browser every time it opens. Is there a way around this?

Seen this question before as well and I am afraid there is no way around this. As IEE is a Click Once application, the shortcut you create would be a browser shortcut. You would have to manually close the tab.
