Permission Set Import/Merge fail

When importing to replace or merge, the following message is received.

Unexpected error while calling server method ManagePermissionSets/ImportPermissionSet
Error occurred while calling https://ifstest.dams.com:59443/main/default/clientgateway/ManagePermissionSets/ImportPermissionSet. Please contact your system administrator.

Error 502 - Bad Gateway

Hi Bruce,

Provided you have direct DB access, there is the option to export/import via a PL/SQL script instead of an XML.. Just unflag the ‘Export as XML file’:

 

We had issues as well with the XML and worked around it like that.

Believe the issue is caused by the existing permission set been in place, merging the permission sets works OK, not sure what happens when functionality in the imported file is less than original, just have to test and see the results.
