HiIn Aurena, is it possible to make a field change colour based on content. We are simply trying to replicate Sticky Notes, which have disappeared in the Cloud, by creating a custom filed, then populating with data from our Apps9 db as part of the upgrade we are undertaking, and highlighting the field in Yellow if it has content.Thanks in advance, Tim 

Hi   Please guild me and make clear how to upgrade IFS application from V.8 to IFS Cloud 24R1 or lasted release.That my understand from step please review.Current environmentV.82 Server > 1. Application server 2. Database server My understand overviewIFS Cloud i need to prepare new server 3 machineMiddle-tire server(Linux for install IFS cloud) Management server(For prepare ifsroot,BuildHome and run script) Database server( For install database)Step 1. I need to upgrade oracle database from 11.2.0.1 to 19CStep 2. After completed upgrade database i will prepare buildhome, script yaml file.Step 3. After all script completed i have run “.\installer.cmd --values c:\exampletmp\config\ifscloud-values.yaml --values .\solutionset.yaml” command. Remark :  - I'm not sure if the middle-tire server needs to be prepared somescript or not.                  - Can i upgrade IFS 8 to IFS Cloud(1 STEP) or i need to upgrade to IFS 10 then up to IFS Cloud(2 STEP)

We have a customer planning to go-Live on 24 R2 in January 2026. I understand that customer can be 3 release versions behind.  By the rime 26R1 come out the customer will be 3 versions behind and they are asking whether they are obliged to 26R1 straight away or are they in breach only when 26R2 comes out? can they hold off the deployment for 26R1 after its release date? 

Hi All,If I remember correctly , IFS recommendation is to be in the LATEST Release Update during the implementation phase and get a release update every 12 months after go live.Could anyone let me know the formal ifs link which explains this? I am pretty sure I have seen this but cannot remember where I saw it.

 This error appears in the POSTING CONTROL DETAILS window when editing Requisitioner Id.  Error while serializing contents.This error happens when the server cannot serialize the data to be sent to the client.A common cause is that one attribute's length exceeds the defined maxlength in the projection.To find more info, open Log Window or Debug Console, refresh and then check Network Tab in DevTools. Hi,Has anyone found a way to convert saved searches in IEE client to Aurena Client/IFS Cloud?We are currently working on upgrading IFS 10 UPD 22 version to IFS Cloud.Users are heavily relying on saved searches to manage their daily tasks. At present, there are over 5,000 saved searches across both Base and personal profiles. After the Go-Live, users will undoubtedly be disappointed to find that their saved searches are missing in IFS Cloud.It is surprising that IFS has entirely overlooked upgrading saved searches into IFS Cloud.This topic has been discussed about two years ago, IFS IEE to Aurena Saved Searches | IFS CommunityI'm re-posting this topic to see if anyone has found a workaround for this issue over the past couple of years. I would greatly appreciate it if someone could shed some light on this matter. Thanks,Thilochana 

I am encountering the following errors while testing connections in SSIS during the Power BI infrastructure setup in Azure for Self-Hosted BI.ORA-12170: TNS timeout occurredI have verified that there is no issue with connecting to the IFSINFO user.Connection to MSOLAP failed:Errors in the OLE DB provider. What are the most missing functions by users?

Hi,we have raised this with IFS (case CS0336328) but we don’t know if we will get a fast enough response so are trying this route.We have tried to upgrade the Build Place for MYDentist to 24R2 UPD3 and experienced an error immediately.This project is on a critical time line and is being managed hour by hour, so every minute counts.Hope someone from IFS running the Clinic can assist us to move this issue forward. Best Regards,Steve Barker

Hello,we have done IFS cloud upgrade from 23R1 to 24R2 in use place environments and we noticed that after upgrading ,in the screen we are getting non mandatory custom fields shown as mandatory (please refer below snapshot) ,we have checked in page designer this fields are not set as required. if we try to save it without entering value for that field ,still record is getting saved but it creates the confusion to user and we need to avoid that.please help if anyone has encountered this issue or any suggestions for the same.Regards,Gaurav

Hi,We have two seperate environments installed on different servers - IFS9 and IFS10 UPD23.When handling 200 application messages in IFS9 it takes around 3 minutes. If we handling exactly the same amount of application messages in the same queues and routing rules and messages it takes around 40 minutes in Application 10.Can someone help me to understand where do we start investigating this issue?Restarting application messages also takes time in IFS10. Here is a compare from a restart in app9 and app10.App10 - Duration 1303msApp9 - 312ms 

Hello everyone,I have a question about upgrade from version 10 to Cloud. This week, we received information from the IFS partner company, which is our implementation, that the licensing in IFS is changing and if we do not want to move to Cloud, the license fee for the currently used version 10 will be increased by 50% year annually :)On the other hand, if we decide to move to the Cloud, it is not considered an upgrade covered by the licensing fee but is instead treated as the implementation of a completely new ERP system, with full implementation costs.I wanted to ask how this looks on your company, because I don't want to believe in that , we have invested many millions in the system, modifications, staff training and here now such a twist. Recently i came across this issue on clustered environment. I did Application restart, DB Restart and session kills nothing resolved thisEven this Session is locked by ifs. But no pending changes exist. Release configuration to allow edit. | IFS Community didn't resolve this.I managed to resolve this by running reconfiguration.

We are experiencing approximately 5,656 SFTP connection attempts daily from IFS application to an external sftp server (AccessPay). The SFTP connection is always enabled and configured for bank reconciliations.Is this level of connection frequency typical for IFS Cloud environments? Is it normal for IFS Connect Reader to continuously connect to an external SFTP server to read files?
