Are there any plans to support IFS Cloud on newer Ubuntu versions? We’re currently running 24r2.14 on 22.04.5 and are planning to go to 26r2 early next year.
Canonical appears to be supporting 22.04 until at least 2027 unless extended support is purchased.
Would appreciate any comments.

Based on the currently published supported platforms, Ubuntu Server 22.04 LTS remains the officially supported operating system for the IFS Cloud Middle Tier, including the 26R1 release. Community discussions earlier this year also indicated that Ubuntu 24.04 was not yet officially certified for 26R1.

That said, there are clear indications that IFS is actively working on Ubuntu 24.04 LTS certification. Internal roadmap and platform work items show ongoing efforts to certify the IFS Cloud Middle Tier on Ubuntu 24.04, with objectives that include updating the Supported Platforms documentation once certification is completed.

Based on the information currently available, there is no indication that Ubuntu 22.04 support will be removed for 26R2. Since Ubuntu 22.04 LTS continues to be supported by Canonical through at least 2027, it would be reasonable to expect it to remain a valid platform unless IFS announces otherwise. However, I have not found an explicit 26R2 support statement confirming this.
Moving to a newer Ubuntu release
Yes, Ubuntu 24.04 LTS appears to be the next target platform. IFS has active certification and roadmap work specifically for Ubuntu 24.04 LTS Middle Tier support, while Ubuntu 26.04 has been explicitly noted as being outside the scope of the current certification effort.
