I understand the Apps 9 will be out of support from later this month, but I am now hearing rumours that there is a ‘drop dead’ date of Jan 2025 where instances of Apps 9 will cease to work altogether.

Is there any truth to these rumours, so I can escalate accordingly?

Hi @JP_user,

On 27th March 2020, IFS Applications 9 entered the extended support period. This means R&D will only release a service update on request from regions. Extended support period will end on 27th March 2023.

I am not aware of any reason that could stop IFSAPP9 from working altogether after 2025. After all, IFSAPP8 was released over 10 years ago, yet there are still customers that use it without any issues. However, there could be issues like certain libraries, protocols and other technologies used to build the application getting deprecated, which could cause issues. I think it would be best to contact your account manager or any other contact person at IFS to get this clarified for good.

Hope this helps!
