Handling of Ext files for UPD Upgrade

We are currently in the process of merging UPD 10 to UPD 22 for our customer. While we have successfully completed the UPD extractor step and performed a delivery, we are encountering errors in the EXT files. We are presently working on the UPD analyzer merge.

Can someone assist on how to proceed with resolving the EXT file errors? Enclosed are the error screenshot for your reference.

Hi @Arjun ,

It seems like your customer’s solution set consists of an extension like GET (IFS Global Extension).

Once the Core merge of the UPD22 (Diff UPD10 to UPD22) is correctly merged, you’ll need to extract for the code diff of the respective extension corresponding to the update gap that you are applying and merge separately.

Once all the files of 3 layers Core, Ext and Cust (if there are any customization files) have been correctly merged, you can proceed with build and installation.

Thanks,

Priyanjala

Hi @Priyanjala Silva,

Yes, when we tried to extract GET components as per the attached document. we don't have access to the page. and the link provided in the document is also not working.

Do you have any workaround for this?

Thanks,

Arjun

Hi @Arjun ,

Do you have the access to LCS to generate the GET HEWX file? If you are unable to generate the entire GET HEWX relevant to the UPD gap, try to query for the patches of GET extension and apply them.

If you are having any access issues to the provided URL of the SharePoint, please inform to IFS.

Thanks,

Priyanjala

Hi @Priyanjala Silva,

Thank you for the reply.

Do you have any documentation related to this?

We have reported the SharePoint access issue to IFS.

Arjun
