Selecting creation of new build home

Upgrading a solution (APPS9) to IFS cloud. Have an Active build place for remote deployment. Go to create a new build home and the error ‘Implimentation mode update request failed’ come up when clicking apply.

Hello,

Same issue with us, for a build place created around the same day as your post.

Did you manage to get a working build place?

Yes we did. Here is the official response from IFS support.

During our investigations, we noticed that you do not have any 'Technician Users' in the build place. Only BP Admins are available. Kindly perform this step of "Mode of implementation" with a technician user.

You will need to first assign a technician user and then perform this step. Below is the documentation which includes the user role permissions for LE portal functionality, for your reference.
https://docs.ifs.com/techdocs/21r2/047_lifecycle/010_overview/#:~:text=Release%20Update%20Studio.-,User%20Role%20Permissions%20for%20LE%20portal%20Functionality,-INITIAL%20BUILD%20PLACE

The document requires you add a technician user via a service request in the service portal. Its all automated so doesn’t take long. I’ve only just done it and haven’t tested yet.

Hello,

Thanks, Now it crashes a step later, but this seems linked to an issue the support will be able to deal with.

Best regards,
