Missing key features in IFS Cloud

Forum|alt.badge.img+2

We have started an upgrade from App9 to IFS Cloud (2021 R1) along with replacing SAP.

Although the Aurena client has loads of new cool features, there are couple of user friendly features in IEE which our users are heavily rely on in their day to day life.

  • Advanced search with group by functions
  • Conditional formatting
  • Sticky notes
  • Shortcut keys

Our business is highly relying on these functions and we are having hard time getting the buy in for Cloud.

Can we expect these features in later releases or are they any workarounds/new features which can support these?

Hi @ChanaKendrion,

Hope you find this helpful for the time being!

Advanced Search

This is not yet available but will be considered in a future release as we have already requested this feature from R&D.

Conditional Formatting

Conditional formatting unavailability is a known gap in Aurena compared to IFS EE. R&D are prototyping conditional formatting in 21R2 but it won’t be released earliest till 22R1 with information present at this time and this also depends on priorities which could change, it has to be inline with the IFS UX design system etc.

Sticky Notes

Yellow/Sticky notes functionality is not available in Aurena but available in IEE (IFS Enterprise Explorer). If Sticky Notes were used to save some additional information connected to an object, then an alternative to use would be Custom Fields.
There is currently no exact alternative to get the same “in your face” feeling in Aurena.
R&D has noted the request to find an equivalent solution to sticky notes in future and it will be considered, but there is no such solution planned for the upcoming release.
There is no general migration plan for sticky notes at the moment, but the stored Sticky Notes are not removed, so depending on the usage it should be possible to extract needed information during upgrade or later.

Shortcut Keys

There are some keyboard shortcuts already, and IFS will continue to build them into the framework in future releases.

I checked this already, but this is more into App10 and I did not see any answers to the features mentioned above.
