Hi all,

After installing a patch, F1 help search stopped working (but other functionalities  are working).

Issue resolved after running the Unix script  named <ifs_home>/ifsdoc/search/solr.sh as customer's environment is running on Linux.

There are not much information about this particular script solr.sh in IFS technical documentations.

Here are the concerns about this script,

  1. Configuration of the solr daemon and how to install it as service (systemctl)? (if that's supported or not )
  2. Restart of the application server (<ifs_home>/mws-srv.sh)  part of the patch installation. But even after the restart this particular script (<ifs_home>/ifsdoc/search/solr.sh ) needed to be restarted manually to resolve the reported issue. It appears solr is not configured to startup upon reboot of the server. Is there any option to configure this solr.sh to execute when we restart the server (mws-srv.sh)
  3. When customer executed ./solr.sh script, they received  (start|stop|restart|status|console|install) there options, can I get a clarification about "install" option ?

It would be helpful if you could share your knowledge regarding this script.

Best Regards,

Rahulan Mahendra
