For IFS10 version you can try below steps.
Enable documents for the “BusinessActivies” from object connections screen
THen go to below window and check the Mobile document class,Push to mobile,New in mobile check boxes.
Restart the device.Now the CRM companion and IFS application should be synchronized.
However when it comes to iOS devices,as per my understanding, due to security restrictions in iOS, only images can be added as documents.
Therefore this configuration will not work for word doc attachments from iOS
Please try out with an jpeg image.
