What is the method to ship misc parts to suppliers? If an engineer wants to ship some samples of items to a supplier, without expectation of receiving them back into stock, how can we do that? Is there a way that a buyer can create a supplier shipment? Is there a backhand way of having a buyer create a customer order without actually going into the customer order module and creating one from scratch?

Hi @Cirrostratus , Supplier Shipment is normally raised to return parts to a supplier.

In App10 ‘Free of Charge’ deliveries are introduced to ship free samples to customers. This might help you if your supplier is registered in IFS as a customer. See the answer I gave in this thread regarding that topic:

For such Customer orders, you don’t need to go through the entire flow, but can directly deliver.

Thanks, didnt know that checkbox existed!

Is there any other way to to create a shipment than through a customer order? Kinda looking for the reverse of a customer order supply code of Purch Ord Dir, or better yet, a material requisition that allows for external shipping paperwork?

@Cirrostratus, I’m sorry - not sure if those options are possible without a modification in IFS
