I had a situation where a customer deployed a new customization DAL (Data Access Layer) file directly into the folder and the output was not what was expected. It seemed to still pickup and export the old data.
The file was gl_export_stg.query in this specific case and it definitely was not exporting the expected data to the staging database for their customization.
We deleted the MSSquerycache files (these are created automatically). The MSSquerycache normally should update if there is a change in the query file but in this case did not appear to do so.
After this action plus IISRESET - the MSSquerycache file was recreated the next time the query was called and the export now contained the information the new DAL query captured.
