ADU usage in DDMRP

Forum|alt.badge.img+6

Hello,

can someone tell me how exactly the values and the time series within the ADU calculation for "Calculated ADU" and "ADU Alert Quantity" behave?

I can't find any detailed further information about this in the help.

Background is the go-live at a customer with "manual ADU" taken over in the migration from past values. After 7 weeks I would now like to change the ADU for certain articles from "manual" to "Calculated ADU", but I do not get any values for the yellow and red buffers with the setting to "Calculated ADU" and "ADU Alert Quantity".

Thanks for the info

Hi,

To clarify a bit more, whey you run the Average Daily Usage Calculation, the system goes back from today - (unprotected lead time + Historical ADU Horizon) to get the start date of the analysis. The end date of the analysis is set to yesterday.

When it calculates the ADU for the “alert horizon”, it does the same calculation, but of course for the shorter “alert horizon”. An ADU Alert message might be triggered if the increasing/decreasing trend is higher than the ADU Alert Threshold value.

A detail regarding to these calculations: If the part, via its Asset Class, is defined as “Seasonal”, then the start date of the ADU Calculation will be one year ago and then end date is set to: one year ago + (unprotected lead time + Historical ADU Horizon -1)

Cheers

Another thing - unprotected lead time is best calculated, using the Cumulative Lead Time Calculation for the entire site.

Hello majose,

I am aware of the calculation. Thank you again for reminding me.
The problem was purely related to setting the time periods.

As a current Aurena user, sometimes you can't see the wood for the trees.
But as mentioned before, Thanks for the post.

Cheers

Alberto
