Warning on My Absence Calendar

We are getting below warning message all of a sudden when registering absence.

“Authorized absence request will generate balance AHOL. You might exceed the allowed values for this balance, resulting in shortenning or removing of the absence.”

Does anyone know what that means and how to stop prompting this?

Thank you!

Hi,

You get this warning if you are making an Absence Request for a wage code, which is also setup in a Time Balance; and the approval of the Absence Request will result in exceeding the Balance.

Thus, the Absence Request on a wage code in a Time Balance will not block the users from requesting/approving (as is the case with Absence Limits), therefore the warning message. If you request for a number of hours which are covered by the remaining hours in the Time Balance - then the warning should not appear. In short, warning message = you will exceed the balance, but you are not blocked from proceeding.

Regards,
Magnus
