Mulit Echelon Inventory Optimisation

Hi All, 

 

When the business need to optimize stock levels per site, what support and how is this working in IFS?

The stock levels needs to be optimized based on historical delivery, service level, season variations in demand, EOQ and cost of stock.

Anders,

One solution to this problem is to use Demand Driven MRP (DDMRP). Demand Driven MRP is a multi-echelon formal planning and execution technique and was introduced into IFS Apps 10.

Are you sure that this DDMRP is part of App9, it’s included as news for App10 ?

You are absolutely right, my mistake, it was Apps 10 and not Apps 9, I will edit my answer now!

Hi Andres,

 

You can have a look on IFS Demand Planning and IPR (Inventory Planning and Replenishment) modules.It will helps to set Safety Stock, Lot Sizes and Order Point for inventory part. It will use standard models to optimized the inventory level.
