Right now, we're handling maintenance in two ways. One is through preventive maintenance, which generates a work order that they complete. The other is unplanned i.e. when a machine goes down and needs immediate attention.
They're looking for a way to document downtime, parts used, cost, and a short description, and then be able to report on it. The machines are already set up as functional objects in the system, but none of the maintenance parts are set up. They're hesitant to set all the parts up since some may never be used or might only be needed once.
Is there a way to document this in the system without the overhead of setting up every part and assigning costs?
