Hi

Need to understand in FSM whether or not possible to migrate the Historical data. I mean to say that Previous year all requests which are even closed /completed  along with its transactions from’ Request to Invoice’  can this be done. 

 

As the customer wants to decommission the old systems and data to be ported back on to IFS FSM.

Any inputs to this will be of great help.

Hi @satwikgs,

This is a large undertaking but can be done one of two ways:

  1. Create a map to align each column of the extracted data to the columns in the desired tables within FSM. Once mapped you will be able to import the data into those tables
  2. Create a new custom table within FSM that maps to the historical data and then create a custom screen to display that custom table

Hi Lee,

 

Many Thanks for your inputs. We would be looking something of # 2 as per your mail so that the work time can be reduced instead on going to each and every table & then define new fields and map for our import.

 

Also would like to know taking approach # 2 how much time this can take get the whole work done. We might have to create few tables and many fields into standard FSM for historical data mapping.
