Upgrading several profiles from 12.5 to 15

We currently have 2 Astea profiles (for 2 different entities, in different countries). As the date for upgrade is coming closer, I have been asked if it is possible/adviceable to upgrade the profiles at different times - mainly due to traning.

Background: we will install v15 on new servers. And connect to a new SQL instance. Both profiles are integrated to Microsoft Dynamics AX - through separate staging databases.

Our initial plan was a “big bang” upgrade - but depending on advice we may reconsider.

Hi Bjørn,

No, it is not necessary to upgrade both profiles to migrate at the same time.  You can do a phased rollout per country as they are on different profiles.

This means, go ahead and update one country and move them over to v15.  Leave the other country profile running on the old server until you are ready to migrate them from v12.5.

Of course, the environment servers and URL’s will be different per environment.
