We would prefer to have same customer only setup once and then to be used by all companies we have on IFS. Problem is the Order tab, where salesperson and currency can not be differentiated by company. Anyone having experience of using same single customer or do you enter same customer several times?

Hi @Marika Solgård-Olli ,

As you said it is not possible to differentiate the Order tab information based on the Company since Order tab carries mostly Customer Order related information and CO is depend on the Site and Customer is connected to company.

However, if you are using APP9 or APP10 version you can introduce a new tab to maintain these information company or site wise in the Customer master data and use a custom event to trigger at Customer Order creation point to get the connected information to Customer Order level.

Hope this will help.

Regards,

Akila

What about creating multiple Address Identities for the same customer reflecting the different companies also, which allows oyu to be inventive with the Order Address Info on each Address Identity, and this carries fields such as Region and District?

Just a thought.

Hi @Marika Solgård-Olli ,

We had a similar situation for a few customers where they needed to be shared across two different companies but the salesman was different between the companies.  We were in IFS Application 8 at the time but we implemented as @AkilaR  suggests a custom logical unit (database table) to store the customer number, company and salesman then we created a custom event that would fire when the customer order was created and it would update the customer order with the correct salesman based on the lookup information in the custom logical unit.
