Greetings!

I released a part number FDM300 with serial number 19490. All went through, and IFS Apps 10 kicked out a Spec Sheet. But when I loom at the Part Serial Reservation, I do not see 19490.

This page shows which serial numbers are reserved to a Serial Reservation Source (shop order, purchase order, project delivery, etc.) prior to the serials being received into stock. Once received they are removed from this page.

If you produced part FDM300 serial 19490 on a shop order and received the serial number into stock, serial number 19490 will not appear in the page Part Serial Reservations as it is no longer reserved to the shop order.

How do I make it so that 19490 does show up on the Part Serial Reservation page?

You would need to reserve serial number 19490 to a shop order. This is the serial number you plan to produce.

If I were to change it from Manual to Automatic would that make it automatically show up in the Part Serial Reservation? This is the first instance when a serial number did not show up on the Part Serial Reservation tab. Just making sure when I created this part I did not miss a step

No, that would not have any effect on seeing this serial number in the Part Serial Reservations page. This setting controls what happens when you perform the step I mentioned above of reserving the serial number(s) for the shop order. Automatic - the system will automatically assign the next sequential serial numbers for the lot size, Manual - you will enter the serial numbers.

Let’s go back to the beginning. When you state “I released a part number FDM300 with serial number 19490” what exactly did you do, what is releasing a part number?

I go into the DOP Header and input the serial numbers. I then input the serial number in the order report so IFS can spit out a Spec Sheet. Once it goes through, it shows up on the Part Serial Revision tab (19491 as example). From there our Manufacturing team turn it into a shop order. When I tried to do it for 19490 it does not even show up on the Part Serial Revision tab, but lets me do everything else (input serial number, get a IFS spec Sheet etc..)

Sorry never mind, I found out why. I created a separate part number from the normal one.
