We currently have a few users that are not able to launch IFS Enterprise Explorer.

When they try to open the application it directly crash, this can be found in the event viewer.

What we currently can do and solve the problem on 80% of the time is remove the 2.0 folder and restart the system. The only problem is that is will work for a few days.

Currently we have 1 user where this solution isn’t working. There is no way to start IFS anymore.

When launching from a Inprivate window it will download IFS but afterwards it will crash again.

I also tried launching it from another Windows account on this laptop and this is also not working. So this should mean the problem is not in the 2.0 folder.

Dear @Qvhest

I think you need to clean the cache of these users:

How to clear cache in computer so that I could reload the landing page and download IFS client? | IFS Community

Hi @Qvhest

Please let us know if the solution suggested by @Link resolved your issue.

Thank you in advance.

Hi @Link and @Grzegorz Byrski

Unfortunately this solution didn't work. Also, the problem is not always there for this user.

Last Friday morning IFS was not starting; in the afternoon we got no problems and this morning it won't start again.

Regards,

Quinn

Did you run rundll32 dfshim CleanOnlineAppCache as administrator as well?

Do they get any error messages?

Yes, I have run it as normal user and admin, but I didn't get any response from the command line.

You won’t get a response from the command line. Restart the computer after 10 minutes.
