We have procured LTU licenses but are unsure of the process of getting the permission sets. We are new to this and are looking for documentation and/or guidelines on how to go about getting this accomplished. Specifically looking for the B2B ones.

Hi Did you get the permission sets?   We are in need to get these permission sets for evaluation.

Hi @DReid ,

In IFS Cloud 24R2, LTU (Limited Task User) permission sets — including B2B Supplier Portal access — are not created automatically when you procure licenses.

They need to be imported or enabled as part of delivered configuration content.

How to get LTU Permission Sets

Option 1: Import from Application Configuration Packages (ACP) (Recommended)

IFS delivers LTU permission sets via:

Application Configuration Packages (ACP)

Steps:

  1. Go to:
    • Solution Manager → Configuration → Application Configuration Packages
  2. Import relevant package:
    • Look for:
      • B2B Supplier Portal
      • External User / LTU related packages
  3. Apply the package
     This will create:
  • Permission sets
  • Projections
  • Navigation

Option 2: Check if already delivered but not granted

Sometimes permission sets already exist but are not assigned.

Go to:
Permission Sets

Search for:

  • B2B_*
  • SUPPLIER_PORTAL_*
  • EXT_*

 Then:

  • Assign to users

Option 3: Use Delivery Installer / Deployment (if missed earlier)

If ACP was not applied during installation:

 You may need to:

  • Re-import configuration
  • Or request deployment team to enable it

Option 4: Request from IFS (if not available)

If you cannot find any LTU/B2B permission sets:

 Raise a case with IFS:

  • Request:
    • LTU permission sets for your version
    • B2B Supplier Portal setup package

 Important Notes

  • LTU licenses ≠ permission sets automatically available
  • Permission sets come via:
    • ACP / configuration content
  • B2B portal requires:
    • Additional setup beyond just permissions

 Typical LTU/B2B Setup Includes

  • Permission sets
  • External user roles
  • Projections
  • Identity provider setup (for external users)
