Our Finance Team (in Viet Nam) has a request to edit Tax Code in Purchase Order Lines and they need to perform this change without creating a Change Order.

The main reason is due to government regulations changes from time to time, so they need flexibility to edit Tax Codes in Purchase Order Lines.

We have done some internal investigations and noticed that “Planned Delivery Date” can be changed even after Purchase Order Lines have been authorized but Tax Codes cannot be changed without creating Change Orders.

Does anyone know a valid reason for this?

Thank you

Hi @AUSSANA,

I believe you are encountering the error message when trying to change the tax code on a Purchase Order line after it has been authorized and released. If that’s the case, you may have enabled the ‘Enforce Use of Purchase Order Change Orders’ setting at the site level, which triggers this error.

The system allows modifications to the Planned Delivery Date, but it restricts changes that would alter the Purchase Order already sent to the supplier.

The only solution would be to disable the ‘Enforce Use of Purchase Order Change Orders’ at the site level.
