Hi all,

We’ve noticed that for Non‑Inventory Customer Order Lines in IFS Cloud, the Non Inventory Qty to Deliver automatically becomes 0 whenever the Planned Due Date is in the future.

Could someone explain why behavior or logic behind setting Qty to Deliver to 0 for future Planned Due Dates? Any practical examples.

Thanks,
Sureka

Hi,

This is a very old behavior to control when the Non-Inventory Part is delivered if combined in a customer order with different planned due dates.

If the plan due date is today it makes no sense to “reserve” the Non-Inventory Part, however if you have planned due date ahead but in the same Customer Order you have delivery earlier, then the Non-Inventory Part would be delivered earlier than planned due date if Non Inventory Qty to Deliver was set to early. Therefore a reservation is needed to make it ready for delivery.

Best Regards
