Hi all,

My customer wants to replenish remote warehouse assortments from inventory located at other sites.

Our idea was therefore to set the refill source to Purchase Requisition, then assign an internal supplier (site) to the PR, convert it into a PO, and let that PO create a CO on the supplying site. The goods would then be shipped from the supplying site and received into the remote warehouse.

The issue is that the PR/PO created by the background job does not create a pegged CO on the supply site.

However, if we run the same intersite flow from a manually created standalone PO, the pegged CO is created as expected.

Is it by design that Purchase Requisitions created by the Refill Putaway Zones job are intended to be used only with external suppliers?

Thank you in advance :)

Hi @Fady Kandil Assuming I understood your question correctly, have you considered using Shipment Order as the Refill Source on the Remote Warehouse Assortment?

Hi @Arcfarazt

Thanks for your response.

Yes, I have explored the option of using Shipment Order as the Refill Source. Unfortunately, the Shipment Orders created by the Refill Putaway Zone background job are intended to replenish remote warehouses from a central warehouse within the same site, whereas the customer’s requirement is to replenish from another site.

However, as a continuation of this approach, we could use the Shipment Order created by the Refill Putaway Zone job to create a demand and then run MRP.

With the correct intersite setup in place, MRP would generate a Distribution Order, which in turn would create a PO on the demand site and a CO on the supply site. This would allow the parts to be transferred between sites and ultimately delivered to the remote warehouses.

However, I believe this replenishment process could be more efficient if we could raise a PR directly to the internal supply site and initiate the intersite flow from there. Currently, this approach does not work, because the intersite PO does not create a corresponding CO on the supply site.
