Use of SCAC codes for the USA

Hi Everyone,

 

for an implementation project at one of my customers, we have an USA site in scope.

To support order delivery via Shipments we have to make use of SCAC codes, which are representing the service level of the transport company (like; FEDEX or UPS) 

This comes also with the configuration of Delivery Terms, Ship-Via Codes and Forwarders. 

 

Can someone share a best practice with me how to deal with this? 

Especially because i cant find any ‘dedicated’ field to support SCAC codes.

Hi ​@Henk Visscher ,

 

As far as I know there is no dedicated field for SCAC codes in IFS.  We wish IFS would increase the size of the ship via code from 3 digits to 4 digits so we could make the ship via codes the SCAC codes.  What we’ve done it added a custom field to the ship via codes called SCAC Code and we’ve entered the SCAC codes there for the carriers.
