Hi,

About this functionality:

https://docs.ifs.com/ifsclouddocs/24r1/lang/en/default.htm?openpage=https://docs.ifs.com/ifsclouddocs/24r1/lang/en/Manufacturing/ActivityUpdateStructRevAndAlt.htm

When doing so, at least by default it doesn’t leave any trace in the shop order history. Can this be changed from settings, so that it would show what has been added/removed, or at least leave a record that this action has been run?

Thanks already

Ville

Hi @VeeVeeI quickly checked and system does create the Shop History. Please refer to the screenshot below.

Please confirm if I missed something here.

Thanks for fast answer,

I’ll explain further because I now understood why it isn’t working for me.

We Currently use only one revision (latest) in IFS and manage revisions in an external PDM system. So the product structure is changed there, and then we push the updated structure to IFS; structure is updated to both, but IFS sees same revision number as before (latest)

So I go to shop order, use “Update Structure Revision and/or Alternate” functionality select exact same revision (latest) → it will update the material list to shop order based on updated product structure. But also as a result, no change history is shown in the shop order. And that I think is because IFS looks old value = new value….

Can we get this working anyhow/setting?

As summed; it needs to show up to the history when that functionality button is pressed and same revision is selected. Now it doesn’t

BR,

Ville

Hi @VeeVee,

Yes, you are correct there should be an old value and new value to create a history record, system creates the history records when there is any change and, in your case, since there are no change being reported for Revision field, system won't create any history.

It is not possible to create a history record for just pressing a button.
