Shipment order was introduced in IFS Cloud and our customers so far are seeing some great benefits. 

 

However we are currently discussing with a large rental asset supplier who want to be able to trigger a move from the existing customer location to the new customer location.

 

The enhancement request is ; Add “Location” as a parameter for sending and receiving parties. Currently on creation of a shipment order only site or remote warehouse can be selected. This would also solve an issue with reverse logistics as IFS has no way of creating ‘pick-up’ type shipment orders which does impact a number of our customers

I have a similar requirement. 

I have a client who needs a solution to facilitate the disposal of a faulty product shipped/delivered on a customer order. We can complete an RMA to authorize the return. Within the RMA, we can select the Return from Address (customer) and Return to Address (3rd party recycler) using the Single Occurrence toggle, however we need a Shipment or equivalent to facilitate the pick-up of the faulty material from the customer’s address and deliver it to the 3rd party. Within the RMA process, there is not functionality available that accomplishes the requirement.

How have others handled similar scenarios?
