Hi all,

I was wondering how this scenario works, hope someone can explain.
How does IFS/receiver know whether part A with serial 001 or part A with serial 002 should be linked to the first Part C when 2 parts C are received.

Hi,

if you issue one part A (001) onto shop order on Part C(101), then you will see it from Shop Order As Built Structure window, also you could create report on shop order for Serial Structure Reserved in Shop Floor Workbench window.

Thank you.

If you need to know whether Pary A serial 1 och serial 2 went into Part C serial 101 and vice versa you must setup the part as multilevel tracked and then you basically have two options:

-Setup the site to auto build tracked structure. Then the system assignes the issued components to a parent serial automatically. The operator will need to assemble according to the system assignments either using the reserved serial structure report, or from the Tracked Structure tab on Shop Floor Workbench

-set the site not to auto build tracked structure. The operator need to manually assigned the serial no of the component to the parent serial where assembled. Can be done from Shop Floor Workbench by drag-and-drop, or using barcode scanner (version dependant)
