Hi Team,
For the life of me, I cannot identify what the “Coordinator” field on a RMA is actually driving?
Logically, I would assume the Coordinator that is entered in the RMA is maybe the ONLY person that could “Approve”

Hi
I think i n IFS Cloud, the Coordinator field on an RMA is primarily an informational field used to identify the individual responsible for coordinating and overseeing the return process. Its most critical function is as a mandatory authorization control: the system does not allow an RMA to be moved from Planned to Released unless a Coordinator is assigned. This ensures that no returns are processed without a designated supervisor or clerk.
Beyond status control, the Coordinator field supports ownership, tracking, filtering, and reporting, and it only gains additional functional significance if custom workflows, event actions, or extensions are configured to reference it. In essence, the Coordinator is the person the system holds accountable for validating the return, authorizing the warehouse to receive the goods, and ultimately approving the financial credit issued to the customer.
