In IFS Cloud 26R1, the purchase authorization rules for purchase requisitions are based on the approval rules on the purchase requisition line.

We want the rules to be based on the purchase requisition header level, so approval is driven by the total value of the requisition.

Has anyone else run into this? How did you get around it?

Any good reasons for justifying why this has been designed this way ?

I notice we have some older posts for older versions of IFS for this same topic.

Is this on account of being able to have multiple lines on a Purchase requisition not necessarily for the same supplier and the additional authorisation functionality also available then at Purchase Order level?

Hi @PRODQ,

Spot on. In addition, the exact purchase value usually isn’t finalized by the requisitioning department. Sourcing the right supplier and confirming final pricing falls on procurement, making PO-level authorization the more practical place to control total spend.
