Using IFS9.

Lot batch was received on a customer-owned Purchase Order line that was missing the activity/project connection.  This lot batch is reflected in Inventory Part In Stock without the project connection.  We need to make an activity/project connection on the customer order, and we cannot make the reservation because the customer order line has the project association but the lot batch does not.

When trying to move the inventory tag to the project, the system tries to amend the customer owner to 1, rather than the actual customer who owns the part.  Here’s what we have tried so far to resolve this:

  1.  Reopen PO line and connect activity.  Activity connection is greyed out… unable to action.
  2. Transfer lot batch to project inventory from Inventory Part In Stock.  This action tries to amend the owning customer to 1 rather than the actual customer owning the stock.
  3. Reserve lot batch without activity connection on customer order.  This allowed the reservation, but won’t allow the release.

Any insight is appreciated.  Thank you!

Hi Marty,

Have you tried just cancelling the purchase order receipt? As long as the purchase order is not matched to a supplier invoice, that would be my first step. If it is matched and not paid, it could also be cancelled. But cancelling the manual supplier invoice might be more headache than it is worth.

Also, not sure why the ownership and/or the inventory itself could not be moved to project inventory. This part of your note I am not following:

When trying to move the inventory tag to the project, the system tries to amend the customer owner to 1, rather than the actual customer who owns the part.

Thanks,

Rich
