PPWR Regulation in EU

Hello, we are in the beginning stages of setting this up as well. Setting up packaging component discussions have taken place surrounding Product Structures and Characteristics. 

Has your company determined a path forward or can you share any learnings from your journey thus far?

I am also interested in a path forward. Packaging as Inventory Parts with BOM structures incl. drawings, etc.?!

Hello ​@SvenL , I’m not sure how far you’ve made it in your journey, but we’ve come up with a potential plan to meet our needs.

Jumping straight in...

1. Create Inventory Parts for each raw - if it doesn’t exist already.
   1. Attach supporting Supplier documentation
   2. Revise as necessary and capture using Engineering Revisions
2. Create an Inventory Part for each “package structure”
   1. Attach DoC
   2. Revise as necessary and capture using Engineering Revisions
3. Create BOMs (Product Structures) for each “package structure”
   1. Within the Product Structures, use Document Object Connections to display Package DoC
   2. Within the Product Structure Components, use Document Object Connections to display the RAW/Component documentation
4. For Labeling
   1. Our company has a custom page that contains all label field data keyed on Part Number.
   2. We’re adding an additional field on this page for Package Label
      1. The printed label will contain the product structure of the packaging material
         - OR -
      2. Contain a QR code that will drive to a webpage (yet to be developed) 

Have you all come up with any different ideas to solution this gap?
