Hi @kruthika,

Planned Promised Date - The date on which the Supplier promises to deliver the Parts at the Delivery Address

Planned receipt date - The date on which the Parts are planned to be received into inventory

In IFS Cloud, the Promised Delivery Date and Planned Receipt Date are interconnected because the system calculates the expected inventory receipt based on the supplier delivery date and any transportation or receiving lead times defined in the system.

For example, assume a supplier promises to deliver the parts to the delivery address on 10 May. Therefore, the Promised Delivery Date will be 10 May. If the site requires 2 additional days for unloading, inspection, and inventory receiving processes, the system will calculate the Planned Receipt Date as 12 May, which is the date the parts are expected to be available in inventory. Similarly, if the Planned Receipt Date is manually changed to 15 May, the system may automatically recalculate the Promised Delivery Date backward to 13 May based on the same lead time settings. This behavior is standard in IFS Cloud and ensures consistency between supplier delivery scheduling and inventory planning.

Changing Planned Receipt Date

When you modify the Planned Receipt Date, the system recalculates backward to determine when the supplier must deliver, therefore updating the Promised Delivery Date automatically.

Changing Promised Delivery Date

When the Promised Delivery Date changes, IFS recalculates forward to determine the expected internal receipt date, updating the Planned Receipt Date.
