Hello,

On a customer's environment in IFS 7 we can't find the option “Part Cost” to adjust the price of an Inventory Part, while using IFSAPP account.

Do you have any idea what could cause this issue and how this can be enabled?

Regards,

Hi @Silvester,

For certain inventory valuation methods and cost levels (e.g. weighted average and FIFO/LIFO), the unit cost for the parent part will be based on the price plus the cost of the consumed components. If the parent part is set up with inventory valuation method Standard Cost and part cost level Per Part or Per Configuration, it is still the cost roll-up in costing that decides the unit cost.

So, first please check your inventory valuation method of the part.

regards,

Piyal

@Silvester Apps7 was a long time ago for me.

In the navigator you show in your screenshot I think Part Cost pages may be buried under Engineering or maybe Manufacturing. Can you access them thru the navigator menu?

Is it possible you are in an executable that does not contain the Part Cost pages?

Thanks for your reply. In this case the Inventory Valuation Method is Standard Cost and part cost level Per Part.

That's a good suggestion. I was looking for the Engineering tab as in further versions the “Copy Cost set to Cost set 1” under the tab Engineering can be used for changing the Part Cost. However, we can't find the Engineering page in Apps 7. We have used IFSAPP in several environments, such as Distribution and Financial Integration.
