We sell product quite frequently to cash customers.

IFS does not seem to support One Time Only Customers with Customer Orders, and from what I can see Instant Invoices do not work with inventory parts.

What are others doing to get round this issue?

Hi @SteveHutchison,

In IFS Cloud, I think you can use One-Time Customer toggle. One-Time Customer is a customer master pattern for occasional buyers: you keep a lightweight customer ID in the system and capture the real name, address, tax, contact, and payment details per invoice (or other financial transaction), instead of maintaining a full permanent customer record for every walk-in or one-off sale.

What it is

On the Customer page (General tab), the One-Time Customer checkbox marks the party as a one-time customer. That is a master-data flag — not the actual buyer details. Those are entered later through the One-Time Specific Information assistant when you invoice.

Typical use cases:

  • Cash / counter sales
  • Occasional B2C buyers
  • Events, fairs, or one-off deliveries
  • Any situation where creating a full customer master for each buyer is impractical

The idea is: one reusable customer ID (for example CASH-SALE or FINCUST1+) plus transaction-specific details stored per invoice.

regards,

Piyal
