Is there a way to limit locations to a single part?

Specifically, when a location has been picked to empty, nothing else should be receipted into that location apart from the original part.

 

Is there any way to achieve this in APP9? 

Hi @Anupa95 -  Are you referring to the Part number or a single quantity of the part? Im not 100% sure if its in Apps9, but theres an option on the Inventory Location called ‘Mix of Part Numbers Blocked’ which if set to yes would prevent different parts from being receipted into that location.

 

If its quantities, then you can investigate using Storage Requirements against your Locations/Parts. You can define Quantity per Locations when defining the Storage Volume Requirements against Inventory Parts.

I was referring to a Part Number.

The option you mentioned is available in APP9. However, when the location is emptied, you can receive another part in the same location.

The requirement is that now allowing to receive a different part than what was previously received in that location.
