Is it possible to create a Sales Opportunity or Sales Quotation in IFS using the category “End Customer”?

We are currently trying to create a Sales Opportunity and a Sales Quotation for a customer categorized as End Customer in IFS Cloud. However, we encountered an error stating that the customer is “not of category Customer. 

My questions are:

  • Is it technically possible to use the category End Customer for these processes?
  • Are there specific configurations or settings required to make this category valid for Sales Opportunities and Sales Quotations?

As per my knowledge, the End Customer category is typically used to identify the final recipient or consumer of products. However, this category is not valid for creating Sales Opportunities or Sales Quotations. There are no configurations or settings that can make the End Customer category valid for these processes. The system is designed specifically to use the Customer category, using the End Customer category may lead to errors or unexpected behavior and is not recommended.
