Inventory UoM is getting fetched automatically while creating an Inventory Part

Hi Team,

 

We are facing an issue for one of our clients. 

While creating an Inventory part in Inventory part window, the system automatically takes the Inventory UoM. but the UoM value is different in Sales Part and Master Part.

So can anyone guide me from where system is taking this inventory UoM value. Is there any basic setup or configuration is in place?

There is a mismatch in the data then where someone has changed the master part UoM AFTER the inventory part was created.

The standard process derives the inventory part UoM from the master part UoM when first created.  The only possible exception is if the part is being created from a separate template that is being used to setup the inventory part and it is forcing in a different UoM, but I would think that unlikely.
