Hi,

How can i produce an Inventory Projection report by month to include number of units, pallets and value at the end of each month for a 12 month period?

We have tried using “MRP open supply and demand” as a basis but if there are no transactions in a month the table shows zero on the last day of the month there were no transactions in.

@MKP this is a daunting task to do with Quick reports or SQL. For this there is the Demand Planning module which does exactly that.

Read more on that below:

Otherwise, some options that could be useful:

  1. Depending on how much clarity you have on future demands - you could try and look at Inventory Part Availability Planning view - starting from your QTY on Hand calculate month by month supply/demand quantities.
  2. If you think past transactions will be indicative of future sales, then you could have a look at On-Hand Develop Per Period where you’ll se an aggregate per period of the stock movements - this could give you an idea on hoe much inventory you’ll have for the next months

Not sure if this is helpful, but might spark some ideas.

Thanks Marcel, this will indeed provoke more thought to try and solve.  We need to see the demand on both sales parts and component parts used to manufacture some of the sales parts.

I am surprised that IFS does not have an option for the inventory projection in the standard menu.
