Hello, on both of these pages it appears the status for Distribution Orders is programmed to show the status of its associated Purchase Order and not the actual DO status. (I believe IPAP inherits ‘Status’ from MPMS). Should this be considered a bug?

If not a bug, I’d appreciate any takes on why and advice on a method to show true Distribution Order status in IPAP like is possible in Material Plan page via custom attribute. It appears IPAP page - OrderSupplyDetail entity does not support custom attributes at this time.

Thank you!

Updated my custom attribute to be more discerning, since PO/CO# are same as the parent DO#. Same initial ask still applies. Thanks

Bumping this one. Anyone else have an opinion on this being poor/incorrect design within the application?

Support ticket replies have told us this is more of an IDEA than a BUG, but I’m not really convinced that’s the case. It seems more like a design flaw.

If it’s to be assumed that the ‘Distribution Order’ element status is actually the ‘Purchase Order’ status, then the ‘Order Ref 1’ becomes inconsistent due to possibility that DO and associated PO numbers may not always be the same. Example of possible confusion introduced:

For other elements in IPAP,  Order Ref 1 and Status (of Order Ref 1 element) fields are consistent with each other. It’s just not the case here with DO/POs.

I’d personally prefer the fix instituted was correctly deriving the DO status and not display the status of PO of the DO. Thoughts?
