default value for the Part Type

@tariq you can’t do much about this. This value is hardcoded in INVENTORY_PART_API.Prepare_New

It can’t be controlled from any other basic data screens. Of course if you really want this changed then you could go for a modification :)

In EE client, you can create a template in which you configure the attributes as you wish. Then you can use New from Template to have the correct part type.
