Default printer not automatically selected

Hi, 

A customer are using IFS Cloud 25R1 and want users to have a default printer automatically selected when printing eg. Delivery Notes.

We tried setting a default printer on the user, but the printer is not selected automatically. Users still have to choose from a long printer list every time.

Is there a recommended way to configure this in 25R1?

  • Report Rules?
  • Output Channels?
  • Print Agent?
  • Other settings?

We would like to avoid manual printer selection if possible.

The recommended way in IFS Cloud 25R1 is to configure Report Rules that assign a Logical Printer based on conditions (e.g., user/site/report). This ensures the printer is automatically selected during report execution, eliminating the need for users to manually choose from the printer list.
