It isn’t possible to connect a project activity from the order object if the item has moved beyond the Planned status, regardless of whether it is a Customer Order Line, Purchase Order Line, or Shop Order. The item must be in Planned status to enable the connection.
However, several customers have raised concerns about this limitation, expressing the need to have the “Connect to Activity” functionality available even after the Customer Order (CO) is released to connect projects, as this is a common scenario in real-world business operations.
