Yes, you can cancel the register arrivals. Try following the below steps.
- Navigate to the Arrival Registration screen.
- Find the arrival registration that you want to cancel.
- Select the arrival registration and click on the "Cancel" button. This will prevent the incorrect quantity from being processed further.
Or you can also, Adjust the RMA Quantity:
- Go to the RMA (Return Material Authorization) screen.
- Find the RMA with the incorrect quantity.
- Edit the RMA to adjust the quantity to the correct amount. Save the changes.
After cancelling or adjusting RMA, you can reregister the arrival by
- Return to the Arrival Registration screen.
- Register the arrival again with the correct quantity.
- Ensure that the correct quantity is processed and receipted into your stock.
Thank you for the response, non of these have worked.
When I try to adjust the RMA quantity it gives me an error stating “the received quantity can not exceed the returned quantity”.
In IFS cloud there is no option to cancel the registration after you have registered the arrival, the line disappears from that screen and then appears on the receipts screen ready to locate.
Hi @SteveJ ,
Can’t we think about scrapping the returns? I mean to get rid of incorrect qty. I do think here the receipt process should be used. This means customer returns are received using the Register Arrival page. For inventory parts scrapping can then be done by using an Inspection in Receipt page (or inventory).

Piyal
That’s right, we can either scrap or edit the quantity of the RMA and then receive the quantity we need.
Hi @SteveJ , There is no option to reverse the receipt of a part from an RMA. As mentioned earlier, you will need to either scrap or issue out the quantity. Additionally, you can make manual GL entries to correct the ledger; otherwise, your COGS (Cost of Goods Sold) GL would be understated.
