Can Someone explain the functionality of this tab, Is there any functionality to avoid bulk reservation?

Hi @ashenfdo,

No this tab is used to configure how to reserve. For your requirement, you can think of Part Availability Control functionality or similar functionalities.

Piyal

Hi @Piyal Perera  thanks for the reply, Our question is below. We didnt have this issue in IFS9 now in cloud we got this issue

we had to deliver 20 pcs of the Customer Order. The sales part in this PO is serial tracked, so we manually reserved 20 pcs (with the needed sn) in the partially delivered line no. 1.4

We then issued the delivery note with the function "quick order flow handling" and we got a DDT with 210 pcs i/o 20, which I enclose. This means that not only the reserved pcs were pick reported, but also the unreserved pcs.

Hi,

The tab you refer to is to configure rules for how the automatic reservation should act if you trigger the automatic reservation. You can decide if FIFO, Storage Zone consideration or Handling Unit consideration is the most prioritized depending on the need in your operation. It is not related to manual reservation.

If I understand it correctly you have a customer order of 210 PCS, you manually reserve 20 PCS, however when when you create delivery note the full quantity is delivered and included in the delivery note? My guess is that you trigger the automatic reservation of the customer order via the customer order type you are using? If you have no stop after release and print order confirmation the process proceed with reserving the customer order according to the customer order type.

Best Regards

Fredrik

Hi @Fredrik Johansson LKP  thanks for the information, How can I find that if the order type is set to automatic reservation?

The Order Type used you have in the Customer Order header, then you have a stand-alone page where you see the setup.

Hi @Fredrik Johansson LKP  In our case we have it like this, So that mean it would automatically reserve regardless of the manual reserved qty

It is hard to say without the exact test plan and all setups.

But with the test plan I thought you had and this setup the auto reservation should not be triggered.

  1. Create CO with 210 PCS
  2. Release CO
  3. Manually Reserve 20 PCS
  4. In Quick Order Flow - Create Pick List for 20 PCS
  5. In Quick Order Flow - Report Picking of 20 PCS
  6. In Quick Order Flow - Deliver 20 PCS
  7. In Quick Order Flow - Create Delivery Note

I was thinking if you had no stop after release and that would proceed with the reservation in the order type.
