Summary:

When uploading a Revised Document via MWO it will create new Document Revision in IFS

Description:

As MWO users are supposed to fill in document templates attached and sent from Aurena. Modified documents are uploaded via Revise Document section of MWO. When MWO users upload revised document it will create new document revision in IFS.

However if a user wants to upload a modified document in Aurena client (without Aurena Agent) it does not create new document revision and same document revision will be holding the modified document file.

Therefore this is an inconsistent behaviour in IFS Aurena and MWO.

This issue is reported to MWO RnD via SMZMWO-7678. Also, refer the attached document for more information on this.

Hi,

 In MWO we offer very limited handling of Documents so yes - it is true that in Aurena there are more options and possibilities as you have full Document Management but this is the nature of mobile client that it offers only small subset of functions. In this case when we designed handling of documents we decided to offer possibility of creating new revision only. Editing file in existing revision requires file handling (check out/check in) that would be very complex to do in mobile
