When we create a Shift template and attached it to a resource in Planning section (ARP) and as the next step we go to Resource Planner > Generate Shifts , the side panel open up and it gives you an option to select the shift templates again.
Could someone explain why it is not taking the previously attached Shift Template via Resources is not enough? Is there a specific reason functional reason?

We cannot attach a Shift Template to a Resource but can attach a Shift Template Set. Then in the Resource Planner, in the shift template drop down, it will populate the Shift Templates attached to the relevant Shift Template set.
If there is no Shift Template Set assigned to resource, then this drop down will enable all the Shift Templates.
So I think the idea is to restrict the Shift Templates that can be used for resources using Shift Template sets.

I’ve checked that scenario as well, but what if the customer wants to have one shift template attached to the resource and wants to skip the part of selecting a shift template in Resource planner? Is there a separate step for that you think?
