Hi All,

I need to find LTU permissions to assign field technicians. All field technicians perform full flow of work assignment from accepting to completion. Some may create New Work, Create map positions etc.

Can we fulfil these requirements with LTU permission sets?

Are there limitations with LTU permission sets?

How can we get to know about available permission sets in IFS?

I imported one available LTU permission set in IFS Cloud Product Information for MWO (MOBILE_WORK_ORDER_LTU 24 R1). But, I only see Objects there when I granted that permission set.

TIA.

Access to functionality in MWO is mainly driven by “Security Groups”. Have a look at IFS Cloud - MWO Service demystified (24R2) | IFS Community , chapter Security>User Permissions/Security Groups

Hi @Alexander Heinze

Thanks for the reply.

What are the use of LTU permissions then? In what use cases we can use them.

If a company has many technicians, isn’t it less cost using LTU permissions regarding the cost of licenses.

The LTU permissions are for the server-side, they include things like <ENTITY_ACTION_GRANTS> and <PROJECTION_ACTION_GRANTS> to make sure that the relevant data can be accessed. On top of that the Security Groups provide differentiated access to the respective functionality in MWO. That means an LTU permission could give you access to the projection, but without the Security Group you wouldn’t see the respective pages nor would MWO sync data at all.

Thanks @Alexander Heinze.

I forgot about security groups associated with a permission set.

What I need is allocating LTU permission sets for technicians. Seems it is possible now.
